What is the Flipsky 2.4Ghz Remote VX4 compatible with?

The Flipsky 2.4Ghz Remote VX4 is specifically designed for DIY electric skateboards and longboards. It is also compatible with various electric bike setups and is built to work seamlessly with the VESC (V4 version). This compatibility ensures that users can enjoy a versatile remote that meets their needs for controlling speed and performance, making it an ideal choice for enthusiasts looking to customize their electric ride.

How does the new speed mode feature work on the Flipsky VX4 remote?

The new speed mode feature on the Flipsky VX4 remote allows users to switch between different speed settings on-the-fly. This can be particularly useful for adapting to varying terrain or riding styles. For instance, you can easily toggle between a lower speed mode for beginners or smoother surfaces and a higher speed mode for advanced riding or downhill adventures, giving riders greater control over their electric skateboard or ebike experience.

Can the Flipsky VX4 Remote be used for racing applications?

Yes, the Flipsky VX4 Remote is suitable for racing applications due to its reliable connectivity and responsive controls. The 2.4Ghz frequency provides a stable connection with minimal latency, essential for competitive racing. Riders can leverage the new speed mode feature to optimize their performance and response times on the track, making it a popular choice among racing enthusiasts who build their own electric skateboards or electric bikes.

Is the Flipsky VX4 remote waterproof?

The Flipsky VX4 remote is designed with a level of durability in mind, but it is not fully waterproof. While it can withstand light rain and splashes, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to water. For riders who intend to use their electric skateboard or ebike in unpredictable weather, adding a protective case or avoiding wet conditions can help prolong the remote’s life and maintain performance.

What is the range of the Flipsky VX4 remote?

The Flipsky VX4 remote offers an impressive range of up to 100 meters in optimal conditions. This range allows riders to maintain control and full functionality of their electric skateboard or ebike even at a considerable distance. For urban riders or those using the remote on terrains like parks or trails, this range provides the freedom to enjoy longer rides without losing connectivity, ensuring a seamless experience.

How do you bind the Flipsky VX4 remote to your VESC?

Binding the Flipsky VX4 remote to your VESC is a straightforward process. Start by powering on the VESC and the remote. Then, follow the binding instructions provided in the user manual, which typically involves pressing specific buttons on both the remote and the VESC. Once they are in pairing mode, they will connect automatically. This operation ensures that your remote is configured correctly for optimal performance when riding.

What type of batteries does the Flipsky VX4 remote require?

The Flipsky VX4 remote typically requires AA batteries, which are easily replaceable. Using high-quality batteries will help ensure the remote maintains its performance and longevity during use. This is particularly important for enthusiasts who frequently ride, as battery longevity can significantly impact how often you need to replace them and the overall experience during rides.

Can I customize the settings on the Flipsky VX4 remote?

Yes, the Flipsky VX4 remote allows for customization of settings through the VESC software. Users can adjust parameters such as acceleration curves, brake sensitivity, and speed limits according to their riding preferences and skill levels. This feature is particularly advantageous for advanced users who wish to tailor their riding experience or for those who are just starting and want to ensure a gradual learning process.

How durable is the Flipsky VX4 remote for daily use?

The Flipsky VX4 remote is built with daily use in mind, constructed with robust materials designed to withstand the rigors of outdoor riding. Its ergonomic design offers a comfortable grip, allowing for extended use without discomfort.
