Questions et réponses des clients

  • question: What is the RG59U cable primarily used for?

répondre: The RG59U cable is mainly utilized for CCTV surveillance systems. Its construction allows for excellent video quality transmission over long distances, making it ideal for security installations at properties or businesses. This cable supports both analog and IP security cameras, contributing to reliable video feed and surveillance integrity.
  • question: Why is 95% shielding important in RG59U cable?

répondre: The 95% shielding in RG59U cable is crucial for minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). This high level of shielding ensures cleaner video signals and less distortion, which is paramount for security frameworks relying on precise imaging. Using this type of cable is essential for maintaining clarity and consistency in video feeds, particularly in environments with high electrical interference.
  • question: How do I determine the required length of RG59U cable for my installation?

répondre: To determine the necessary length of RG59U cable, measure the distance from your CCTV camera to the DVR or monitoring location, accounting for turns and elevation changes. It’s advisable to add a little extra length to accommodate any adjustments needed during installation. This ensures flexibility in your setup without the hassle of running out of cable.
  • question: Can RG59U cable be used for audio transmission?

répondre: While RG59U cable is primarily designed for video transmission, it can also be used for audio signals. However, its effectiveness for audio would depend on the specific application and the required quality. This cable's construction makes it capable of handling different types of signals, so it can be a versatile choice in certain scenarios.
  • question: What is the difference between 20AWG and 18AWG in CCTV cables?

répondre: The difference between 20AWG and 18AWG cables lies in their gauge and thickness. The 18AWG cable is thicker, which allows it to carry power over longer distances more effectively, while 20AWG, being thinner, is often used for shorter runs. For most CCTV installations, the choice between the two should depend on the distance from the power source to the camera and the specific power requirements.
  • question: Is RG59U cable suitable for outdoor installations?

répondre: RG59U cable can be utilized for outdoor installations if properly protected. While the cable itself is built for durability, it’s important to use conduit or protective housing to guard against weather elements. For outdoor security systems, consider UV-resistant coatings or materials that can withstand environmental exposure while preserving signal integrity.
  • question: What types of connectors are compatible with RG59U cable?

répondre: RG59U cable is typically compatible with BNC connectors, which are widely used in security camera systems. These connectors ensure secure connections that minimize signal loss. For installations requiring video and power transmission, you can also find splitters and adapters specifically designed for integrating multiple camera setups.
  • question: How do I install RG59U cable for my CCTV system?

répondre: Installing RG59U cable involves planning the routing of cable and securing it along walls or ceilings. Start by measuring the distance accurately, then cut and strip the ends of the cable to attach connectors. Once the connectors are attached, connect the camera to the DVR, ensuring a tight fit for optimal signal transmission. Always test the setup before firmly securing the cable in place to avoid any installation errors.
  • question: What makes Siamese RG59U cable a popular choice for CCTV systems?

répondre: Siamese RG59U cable combines video coaxial and power cables in one unit, simplifying the installation process by reducing the number of wires needed. This convenience is especially beneficial for security camera setups, as it minimizes clutter and makes it easier to run cables without confusion. Users appreciate this efficiency, along with the quality performance of the cable for their surveillance needs.
