Marine Life Editorial Review
**** "Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt," the second book in Ben Clanton's beloved series, delivers a delightful reading experience for children in 1st to 3rd grade. The charming interaction between Narwhal and Jelly provides a perfect blend of humor and heartwarming friendship, making it an engaging read for young audiences. The storyline, which revolves around Narwhal adopting the role of a superhero and Jelly as his sidekick, is filled with light-hearted adventures, including confronting a bully—a relevant theme that resonates with children. Visually, the book is appealing, featuring bright and colorful illustrations that celebrate minimalistic yet expressive artwork. Readers can easily focus on the characters due to the simple background designs, which highlight the story’s dialogue-driven narrative. Many parents have noted how their children, especially reluctant readers, have shown enthusiasm for the book's comic-like format, allowing them to engage with the material in a fun and accessible way. Feedback from families indicates that the humor and creativity of the series, including clever hidden jokes, enhance the reading experience. Parents appreciate that the book is not only entertaining but also educational. The series is praised for its ability to meet the needs of kids transitioning from simpler stories, akin to Mo Willems’ works, to more complex narratives without losing excitement or fun. Overall, "Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt" has made a significant impact, earning a warm recommendation from both children and adults alike. The anticipation for further adventures with Narwhal and Jelly continues to grow, confirming this series as a must-have addition to any child's library. **
