The overall footprint of the base 5.25” x 5.25” so there would be some overhang mounting to that surface. Customers generally had a positive experience with this downrigger. A few customers found missing parts and damaged cables in their package, which is an unfortunate quality control issue. A few customers also had trouble with getting the cable back on the spool if it came off more than a few rounds due to over travel but most customers found it to work great and praised its smooth operation. The downrigger is sold singly so it is just one per box/order but customers could purchase the mount to the rigger for a two pole set-up and extend the use of the downrigger.
