The Ibanez GSR205B 5-String Bass Guitar appears to be a great choice for those seeking a quality 5-string bass at an affordable price point. The bass guitar was also noted to be suitable for newer metal/rock music and suitable for achieving a Fieldy (Korn) clanky bass sound. However, the body finish was mentioned to easily scratch and reveal natural wood color which can be remedied with touch-up paint. Another reviewer had to fix loose set screws on the knobs but otherwise commented on an amazing 5-string that is definitely worth its price. One customer had negative feedback from a bad back bow on the neck which made playing challenging, while another reported an issue with the bridge design. A cable jack also needed to be replaced on one unit. Regardless, this Ibanez bass was noted to be a dream guitar in one instance.
