Questions et réponses des clients

  • question: What is the primary use of the Apex RC Products 150mm X 250mm X 5mm Extra Thick Double Sided Servo Tape?

répondre: The primary use of the Apex RC Products Extra Thick Double Sided Servo Tape is to securely attach components in RC vehicles, such as servos, receivers, and batteries. This tape provides a strong bond that is essential for maintaining the integrity and stability of your RC setup, especially during high-speed maneuvers or jumps. For instance, using this tape to mount your servo can prevent it from coming loose, ensuring reliable control during operation.
  • question: What are the key features of this servo tape?

répondre: This servo tape features a robust thickness of 5mm, which enhances its holding power while minimizing the risk of tearing. The 150mm x 250mm dimensions provide ample coverage for various components, making it versatile for different RC applications. Additionally, being double-sided allows for easy application on both surfaces, ensuring a strong bond. This quality is particularly useful in scenarios where components need to sustain vibrations, ensuring they remain fixed even during turbulent conditions.
  • question: Is the tape suitable for outdoor use?

répondre: Yes, the Apex RC Products servo tape is well-suited for outdoor use due to its strong adhesive that withstands environmental factors. It maintains its grip in various weather conditions, such as rain or high humidity, ensuring your components remain secure. This is particularly beneficial for outdoor racing or flying, where unexpected conditions can arise, providing peace of mind in the performance of your equipment.
  • question: How should I prepare the surface before applying the tape?

répondre: Before applying the servo tape, it’s essential to clean the surfaces thoroughly. Use a rubbing alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove any dirt, dust, or grease. This preparation ensures maximum adhesion and helps the tape perform at its best. For example, preparing the surface of your RC car before attaching the battery can lead to a longer-lasting bond, crucial for consistent operation during races or flights.
  • question: Can the tape be removed without damaging surfaces?

répondre: Yes, the Apex RC Products servo tape is designed to be removable without causing damage to most surfaces. When you need to detach a component, peeling it off gently can prevent substrate damage. This feature is valuable if you need to reposition or replace parts frequently, such as when testing different servo placements to optimize performance.
  • question: What kinds of materials is the tape compatible with?

répondre: This double-sided tape is compatible with various materials commonly used in RC applications, including plastics, metal, and even wood. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for securing components across different types of RC builds. For instance, you can use it effectively on a plastic RC car chassis to attach a metal servo without compromising the structure.
  • question: Is it suitable for use in high-temperature environments?

répondre: Yes, the tape can withstand high temperatures commonly encountered in RC applications. Its design ensures that it retains its adhesive power even when exposed to heat, making it ideal for setups where motors or batteries may generate significant heat during operation. This characteristic is crucial for ensuring the reliable performance of your RC vehicle under challenging conditions.
  • question: How does this tape compare to other mounting solutions?

répondre: Compared to screws or adhesive glues, this double-sided servo tape offers a cleaner and more efficient mounting solution. It eliminates the need for drilling holes, preserving the structural integrity of your components. Additionally, this tape allows for quick adjustments without the hassle of disassembly, making it an excellent choice for hobbyists who frequently modify their RC setups.
  • question: How thick is this tape and what advantages does that provide?

répondre: The tape is 5mm thick, which provides enhanced cushioning and support compared to standard double-sided tapes. This added thickness helps absorb shocks and vibrations, reducing potential damage to delicate components. For example, when attaching a receiver in a high-performance RC car, this thickness can prevent impact-related failures during jumps or collisions.
