répondre: The thickest thing you could reasonably attach this to would be only 1/4 inch thick. Also, this only works with instruments that are no more than about 1 1/2 inches wide at the nut and fairy lightweight, like ukuleles and mandolins. They make a device like this for guitars that attaches to an amplifier. That might work.
