Questions et réponses des clients
-
question:
What is the benefit of using Shielded FUTP for outdoor Ethernet cables?
répondre: The Shielded Foiled Unshielded Twisted Pair (FUTP) design minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is essential for maintaining strong signal integrity outdoors. This is particularly important in environments with potential radio frequency interferences, such as near power lines or heavy machinery. Using trueCABLE's Cat6 FUTP means you can ensure a steady, high-speed internet connection, making it ideal for outdoor networking setups, security cameras, or any outdoor Wi-Fi applications. -
question:
How does the UV resistance of trueCABLE Cat6 contribute to its longevity?
répondre: The UV-resistant exterior coating of the trueCABLE Cat6 cable protects it from sun damage, which can degrade less durable cables over time. UV resistance is crucial for maintaining both the performance and the physical integrity of the cable when exposed to harsh sunlight. This makes it particularly suitable for installations in areas with direct sunlight, ensuring that your networking solution remains reliable and effective in outdoor conditions. -
question:
What does CMX rated mean for outdoor installation?
répondre: CMX rating indicates that the cable is suitable for outdoor use, meeting necessary safety and performance standards. The designation ensures that the cable can withstand various environmental factors such as moisture and temperature fluctuations while maintaining optimal performance. This is essential for residential or commercial outdoor Ethernet connections, ensuring robust connectivity for devices positioned outside. -
question:
Is the trueCABLE Cat6 suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications?
répondre: Yes, this cable is ideal for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, supporting 4PPoE. This means it can deliver both data and power to devices like IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones without needing separate power lines. By using trueCABLE Cat6, you simplify installations in places where running power outlets would be cumbersome, providing a single cable solution for both data transmission and power delivery. -
question:
What are the advantages of using a 23AWG solid bare copper conductor?
répondre: Using a 23AWG solid bare copper conductor enhances conductivity and lowers resistance, which leads to improved signal quality over longer distances. This results in better performance for network devices, ensuring optimal bandwidth and reduced latency. It’s especially beneficial in environments requiring reliable high-speed data transfer, making this cable an excellent choice for installations requiring dependable connections, such as streaming video, gaming, or online conferencing. -
question:
Can I use trueCABLE Cat6 in both indoor and outdoor settings?
répondre: While trueCABLE's Cat6 is specifically designed for outdoor use with its UV and weather-resistant features, it can also be effectively used indoors. The robust construction not only withstands outdoor elements but also ensures a sturdy, reliable connection in indoor settings, making it versatile for various applications—from outdoor security systems to high-speed indoor networks. -
question:
What’s the maximum data transmission speed supported by trueCABLE Cat6?
répondre: The trueCABLE Cat6 supports data transmission speeds of up to 550MHz, allowing it to handle gigabit speeds efficiently. This high frequency means it can support demanding applications such as video conferencing, online gaming, and large file transfers without degrading performance. It's especially well-suited for environments where reliability and speed are a must, such as offices and tech-oriented homes. -
question:
How does the bulk Ethernet option benefit users?
répondre: Purchasing the trueCABLE Cat6 in bulk provides users with the flexibility to cut the cable to their desired length—eliminating excess waste and ensuring custom installations. This feature is particularly useful for contractors or DIY enthusiasts who need specific lengths for different locations, allowing for a cleaner and more organized setup without the clutter of excess cabling. -
question:
What does ETL Listed mean for this Ethernet cable?
répondre: An ETL Listed designation means the cable has passed rigorous safety and performance testing by Intertek, confirming it meets certain safety standards. For consumers, this gives assurance of quality and safety assurance during installation. Using an ETL Listed cable like the trueCABLE Cat6 ensures reliability and compliance with current safety practices, making it a trustworthy option for both residential and commercial uses. -

TRUE CABLE Cat 6 Cables Editorial Review
TRUE CABLE Cat6 Outdoor Bulk Ethernet Cable, Shielded F/UTP, 500ft, Black, UV Resistant, OSP Jacket, 23AWG Solid Bare Copper, 550MHz, PoE++ (4PPoE) is an excellent choice for outdoor networking needs due to its heavy-duty construction and UV-resistant outer material. Users praise the cable for its well-shielded design that allows it to withstand various weather conditions, making it ideal for direct burial applications. The thicker gauge of 23AWG enhances durability but also requires specific connectors to ensure proper termination. While some users find it slightly stiff and bulky during installation, its performance in delivering up to 5 gigabits per second without signal degradation has been consistently commended, reinforcing its reliability for both residential and commercial use.
