Melcourt Blended Loam is a good quality soil for preparing ground for grass seed planting. However, it does not improve drainage. It is unsure whether this product could be used for planting pieres. From customer reviews, the soil is heavy but of good quality. There have been instances where customers have received less soil than advertised, and one customer found rocks, wood, and even glass within the soil. The soil comes in smaller bags, which makes it easier to carry. The delivery is quick, but the packaging tends to be unreliable at times.
